First and most important...... HAPPY 46th BIRTHDAY DEAN!! We gave him his new Bar-B-Q pit this past weekend and today I made him a birthday cake with his favorite "marshmallow frosting". It was my first time making the frosting (found the recipe on the Internet) and I think it came out pretty good. Dean liked the frosting and I guess that's all that really matters.
Today I was working on a lollipop tree for this weekend ... I guess I miscalculated the size of the ball because I bought a 8 inch one and it took over 400 lollipops to cover it (and it weighs about about 5 pounds!!) I was going to "plant it" in the plastic popcorn container.... but, I don't think that's going to work. Even if I fill it with concrete the bottom is too narrow to hold the big, heavy lollipop tree. I guess tomorrow I'll go look for a pot at Wal Mart. If you look at the third picture you can see that there is a BIG difference in the size.... lol... Wish me luck.... I hope it works.... I'll post pics of the finished tree later. :)
The last picture is of cupcakes that I really like. I'm leaning towards the popcorn cupcakes (too cute) The snow cone ones look so realistic but, I think it would be a total PITA to find the snow cone items since it's not summer right now.
